Greentrac™ wins the Sustainability and Green IT category for Queensland in the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) 2010 iAwards.

The iAwards is Australia’s premier technology innovation awards program. For 16 years the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) has hosted the iAwards as the Australian member of the Asia-Pacific ICT Alliance Awards (APICTA), to deliver the only truly international awards program to the national technology community. The 2010 iAwards include honours in 18 different categories – including start-ups, sustainability, export, education, media, healthcare and security.

The Sustainability and Green IT iAward recognises outstanding technology innovation that delivers improved environmental outcomes. Greentrac is the most advanced PC fleet energy consumption monitoring, cost analysis and environmental emissions measurement application currently available. Greentrac delivers real-time enterprise-wide visibility of PC workstation energy consumption patterns, costs, and CO2 emissions associated with day-to-day corporate operations. “Greentrac's innovation is to combine user behavioural change and programmatic PC power management to deliver a best of breed solution for the realization of sustainability outcomes”, said David Tucker, Event Zero CEO.

Winning the Queensland state award qualifies Greentrac as a finalist in the national level Sustainability and Green IT award category of the iAwards 2010 - winners to be announced in early August 2010. The 2010 iAwards begin in each State and Territory, with local winners going on to compete for national honours and the right to represent Australia at the international APICTA Awards – sharing the spotlight with the best of the Asia Pacific region in the world’s fastest growing IT services market.
